@apps I think it has potential, especially with events, but regardless, it's nice to see these experimental platforms, it can provide useful ideas that can be incorporated in the mainstream ones.

I would like to share my experience of building #FediHood.
While I still think that building timelines around you is an interesting enhancement for the #Fediverse, I think I was wrong about the way I did it.
Many people are interested, but not enough to create another account just for that feature. They want it with their current account.
I am happy to see #Pixelfed implementing it, and that is the way it should be done.

Next week will be dedicated to #Fedilab, with the release of 3.44.0. The goal is to fix the issues flagged as high priority, especially those that are also enhancements. Then I will start adding support for #FediHood.

Lately I've noticed that Phanpy really makes chromium burn a lot of CPU. That could be chromium's fault (don't get me started..), but I suspect it's because Phanpy is using (P)React, which is a whole lot of javascript. I've gone back to Elk for the time being, and it's night-and-day. Unfortunately Elk is definitely rougher around the edges, but it also uses much less CPU on my laptop.

I checked with different browsers, the audio in the beginning 49 seconds was lost, apparently the speaker had already started for a few seconds before that.

@stefano @kaixin (I checked, I think it has a slight sync issue, but less than one second. the end is multiple seconds)
(this post brought to you by instincts caused by doing debconf video reviews :D )

@stefano @kaixin it is ok, except at the end (the last question, I think?), when things started to repeat every few seconds
also, AV sync was basically non-existent, at that point.
but the main talk was completely fine (I didn't check the AV sync, because I was eating while watching it O:-) )

Women often latch on to men's wear and men's fashion trends - to an extent that we often do not even notice it as "men's wear". The opposite is much more rare. When men browse the women's section, one takes it as "cross-dressing".
I envy the range of shapes and colors in women's clothes, but struggle with the sizes and especially the fit. Fediverse, what brands do you know of that make something like "women's clothes for men"?

May 29. This was the first time the trail really changed biomes with a few thousand feet elevation gain. The green was a welcome relief from all the desert I had been hiking through. This sketch is mostly about experimenting with blurring out the background, and the color green.
