Catodon recently implemented Mobilizon/Gancio events, but users on Mastodon or other platforms see events as posts that they can't interract with. This makes events on fedi far less useful. We're gonna change that - we'll create an events.bot account that users from other platforms will be able to send a DM to, and respond to an event (Attend/Deny) via the bot. This way, anyone on fedi will be able to attend an event originally published in Catodon.

Concerning #HolosSocial, I still believe it's an interesting project because it brought something new to the #Fediverse.
Not only because you run your #ActivityPub server on your device, but mainly because you can own your identity with your own domain name.
My mistake was making it easy to run the server on your device, but not to get your own identity.
That will be my challenge in the coming months.
PS: I have no funding for this project and I work alone, so yes, it takes time :)

AI Helping To Improve Linux's AMD Zen CPU Microarchitecture Detection
A request for comments (RFC) was sent out last night on the Linux kernel mailing list in seeking to clean-up the AMD Zen microarchitecture detection within the kernel. This is for enhancing the kernel where there are code paths specific to a certain generation of AMD Zen processors or select generations such as Zen 3 through Zen 5 CPUs. AI was leveraged in helping to clean-up this AMD Zen code in the …

There are alternative front-ends (ways to access Mastodon) like Phanpy, Statuzer etc if you'd prefer. You can choose how many columns you want.
