@juliangro@social.linux.pizza Also, funnily enough, even tho fedora makes me use btrfs, there are no snapshot functionalities...so to me it is just another filesystem.

@juliangro@social.linux.pizza you can compress everything in your filesystem??? Wouldn't that like, make the filesystem sluggish or not really? (or is the performance difference negligible in comparison to traditional HDDs I have connected?)

@rio the better filesystem. ;)
You can enable filesystem compression on there by adding the `compress-force` to the partition in your `/etc/fstab`. (The force part is to have the compression algorithm decide what to compress instead of the filesystem.)
Don't tell big tech, but I have 600GB on my 500GB SSD right now.
I use BTRFS for literally everything nowadays. I assume Fedora switched to it because you can take snapshots with it that you can theoretically roll back to. (Personally, I don't care about that because having a backup on the same drive isn't very useful to me.)

最近の職質はスマホの中身を見てきて、メッセンジャーの履歴を確認するとかテレグラムが入ってたら1時間拘束するとからしいね。

@dthompson @pinoaffe I found this paper sometime last year. It uses the sub-tree height to determine the need for rotations. The benefit is that insert and remove are straight forward, and I believe performance is comparable to a red-black tree.
