The FEP now includes the recommended algorithm parameters.
I consider it finished but I don't plan to continue working on my implementation or publishing to the main FEP repository. It would be better to focus on group messaging with forward secrecy (MLS or similar).

For those that haven't noticed (Hopefully most folks), I've updated #MastodonAppUK and #Universeodon to the latest Mastodon release tonight. I think for the most part it shouldn't have had any obvious impact other than a short blip on Universeodon while the web server rebooted (I haven't quite had a chance to setup a second web server for Universeodon yet!).
I think we've got the process of upgrades working a lot better and keeping in-step with the releases has been a lot easier than it was!

Anyone have the TL;DR; on self hosted fediverse software?
Mastodon vs Snac vs Pleroma vs ?
I'm looking for something that is super low maintenance and lightweight / easy on resources but as full featured as practical within those constraints.
Something easy to tune re: post lengths and media types would be cool too. A "text first" platform is desired.
I've run Mastodon in the past and it's like fishing with nukes for this use case.
What's out there?

Pushed the 0.4.0 release of #haunt to #guix - thanks to @breatheoutbreathein for the PR.
This updated release lets you use html markup inside markdown files which is useful before going to whole way and switching to sxml etc!
Hopefully I can update guix foundation's web site now.

Today, I spent a long time trying to understand why the in-app translator using #LibreTranslate was still being abused.
I took drastic measures, because legit translations were stuck in the queue behind the abusers (now they are quick). But these measures also kicked out people using the API without abusing it. So please DM us if you're affected.

The original 1992 Comanche release is extremely picky about memory managers. The game refuses to work with EMM emulators and crashes when EMM386 is active. The game may also hang or reboot the system when HIMEM.SYS is not loaded (
