@archiwuminternetu też prowadziłem newsletter na Substacku. Przez kilka lat. Z regularnością bywało różnie, bo narzuciłem sobie ambitny plan, a czasu coraz częściej brakowało. I to rodziło frustrację. Zamiast IG wybrałem LinkedIn jako platformę promocji treści. Opracowałem szablon, tworzyłem grafiki zachęcające do czytania, promowałem, wykorzystywałem nawet wbudowany system pisania publikacji wewnątrz LI jako kolejny element promocji i zachęt do subskrybowania głównego newslettera. I też nie mogłem powiedzieć, że osiągnąłem sukces, ale również nie poniosłem porażki.
Ale zmęczyło mnie to i wypaliło.
W międzyczasie przeniosłem się na Mastodona i odkryłem, że dawny internet istnieje. Że ludzie są ciekawi, chcą rozmawiać i dzielić się treściami. Chcą czytać. Przerobiłem newsletter na bloga, zmieniłem tematykę na luźniejszą, piszę nieregularnie. I wrzucam linki do tekstów wyłącznie na Mastodona. Bez żadnej właściwie promocji. I jeszcze kilka osób podbije, zagada, wymieni opinie. Jest miło. Bez presji. Bez obłędu i czarnych kręgów piekielnych ciągłego karmienia algorytmow, żeby tylko łaskawiej spojrzały na moją treść.
Moja rada (bo przechodziłem przez to samo): jeśli nie jest ci to potrzebne do rozwoju zawodowego i zarabiania, to rozważ odpalenie sobie bloga na jakiejś normalnej platformie, której nie pompują inwestorzy, podepnij swoją domenę, publikuj co chcesz i kiedy chcesz, a linkami dziel się na Mastodonie. Może i ty odzyskasz radość. Bo czytelników na pewno będziesz miał.
Nie ma co tęsknić za dawnym internetem. Trzeba pomóc go odbudowywać, bo on istnieje, ale ciągle jest malutki. Choć bardzo sympatyczny i pomocny we wszystkim.

I've just published version 2.94 of #snac, the simple, minimalistic #ActivityPub instance server written in C. It includes the following changes (mostly bug fixes):
The author of a replied post is no longer added to the CC: line, as it does not have much sense.
Fixed mentions for users with hyphens in their identifiers.
Unlisted replies to unknown posts were being skipped from the timeline, so don't do that.
If an actor marked as broken gets a post boosted (proving that is [back] functioning), it's unmarked as such.
Don't try (and fail) to parse non-UTC dates in posts (I'll provide a real fix eventually).
Fixed a redirection loop in the /users alias.
Mastodon API: fixed a bug that made changing the sensitive content string impossible, avatars and headers can be deleted (contributed by bm90).
Updated Czech and Italian translations (contributed by pmjv and fidiben).

For those #Mastoadmin 's that use the Universeodon relay, we've been seeing some issues it seems overnight. I've made some changes to our infrastructure to try to cope with what looks like a huge amount of traffic now. You may need to disable and re-enable the relay if it isn't working on your server.

Żeby wygrać z niemocą twórczą napisałem o wszystkich swoich żalach substackowych.
Kiedy pisałem o ciężarze prowadzenia mediów społecznościowych nie miałem na myśli Mastodona. Mastodon ma inną społeczność i nie wymaga tworzenia roleczek i grafik.
Ale Instagram... to jest ostatni krąg piekielny!
