@liaizon I'm going with the spirit of the new mastodon quotes, that you shouldn't be quoting a post just to dunk on it (in which case the original poster can revoke the quote), and you shouldn't be liking a post that's quoting a post just to dunk on it.

@fedicat I get the intention behind it, and I think it is an interesting topic to discus regardless. I guess I personally think there are good uses for "dunking" on things and the idea that everyone must only quote post things for positive reasons is just not how the world works. take for instance the @EUCommission account, most posts there have wonderful qp dunk potential. and you are almost universally punching up as it were.
