I heard that the server #theForkiverse may shut down soon. No surprise, its admins have stopped communicating on it MONTHS ago.

Mastodon cross-posting is now fully-supported in https://some.pics! I tried to make everything as simple as possible, but I'd love any feedback you might have on the setup.
To get started, click the new "Manage Mastodon cross-posting" button on your Pics dashboard page in omg.lol. Authorize the connection to the Mastodon-compatible instance of your choice, and then configure your preferences. You can opt to automatically post all new pics by default, or manually post the ones you wish. You can also set your desired posting visibility (public, unlisted, or followers only).
Pics can only be cross-posted if they include alt text.
When cross-posted, your pic will be attached as media to the post; the post will also have the text description (separate from the alt text, which is attached to the media itself), a link back to your pic's page on some.pics, and any tags that you included on some.pics (which show up as hashtags on the post).
Changes that you make in some.pics should sync up automatically on Mastodon. And within the some.pics dashboard, you can selectively remove any published pics from Mastodon, as well as manually publish other pics that you uploaded before enabling cross-posting.
I hope this helps everyone enjoy sharing more pictures and photography on Mastodon!

it was brought to my attention that one of our dependencies has a vulnerability!
as such, i've rebuilt the stable branch as v3.20.1 to fix that!
please note!!! since debian bullseye is now EoL, the "debian-bullseye" OTP flavour will no longer be updated, you'll want to upgrade to a non-EoL OS to fix that one

Hollo security updates: 0.8.12 and 0.9.19
If you run Hollo, update to a patched release now. Fedify has disclosed three vulnerabilities that affect Hollo: CVE-2026-96625, a critical actor impersonation vulnerability; CVE-2026-96623, a high-severity denial-of-service vulnerability in remote document parsing; and CVE-2026-96624, a medium-severity server-side request forgery vulnerability in outbound activity delivery. Treat the actor impersonation issue as an immediate upgrade: anyone on the internet could have an activity accepted by your Hollo inbox as coming from any actor.
For CVE-2026-96625, Fedify verified the signature on an incoming activity, but trusted the signing key document's own claim about whom the key belonged to. An attacker with an ordinary HTTP server could serve a key document naming any actor as its owner and have activities accepted under that actor's identity. No account on the receiving Hollo instance was required. The same flaw affected signed-key ownership checks used to restrict access to posts, allowing a forged key document to pass those checks under another actor's identity.
The fix resolves the claimed owner's actor document and requires it to link back to the key. It also validates the origin of fetched actor documents. Fedify's built-in key cache automatically stops reading entries whose ownership had not been verified, so Hollo operators do not need to clear that cache manually.
For CVE-2026-96623, Fedify parsed JSON bodies without a byte limit, including inbox bodies and remote documents such as keys, actors, objects, JSON-LD contexts, WebFinger descriptors, and NodeInfo documents. An attacker could exhaust memory and CPU with a large body, including a compressed response that expanded substantially before parsing. An inbound body limit at a reverse proxy did not protect the outbound fetch paths.
The fix limits JSON bodies to 16 MiB after decompression. Oversized inbox requests receive HTTP 413, and remote JSON documents

FediSuite 1.7.0 is here!
This release brings some of the biggest additions yet for publishing and analytics:
Archive search: Search every post FediSuite has ever seen for your accounts. Search a single account or all connected accounts at once, with matches even inside words.
Cross-posting: Select multiple accounts in the composer and publish or schedule the same post across different platforms. FediSuite automatically respects character limits, media rules, visibility options and other restrictions of all selected accounts.
Eight new reach insights: FediSuite now uses calculated net reach directly to identify your best times and weekdays, differences between media and text posts, potential reach decline and more.
The reach formula developed by Ralf Stockmann for FediWings now also includes quotes from Mastodon 4.5+. FediWings is also explicitly acknowledged within FediSuite as its sister project.
Plus several bug fixes and smaller improvements.
FediSuite is open source, self-hostable and licensed under GPL-3.0.

TECHNICAL POST INCOMING!!!! One thing I obsess over for Coho is performance! For example, on the web side of things, we make heavy use of the async module imports to only ever load exactly the code needed for a given feature. This, combined with smart service worker driven caching, gives us the ability to keep our initial load very slim. Coho is not perfect, every not and then we have performance regressions, but its something I pay close attention too!

FediSuite
Your Fediverse Management Platform
Anyone can now translate FediSuite. I run my own Weblate at weblate.fedisuite.com for it. You create an account and work in your browser, no Git needed. If your language is missing, add it yourself. What you translate arrives as a pull request with me, I read through it and ship it with the next release.
FediSuite currently speaks German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. French and Spanish were not done by native speakers, so it matters that someone checks both and submits corrections. Reviewing existing languages is as welcome as adding new ones.
The web interface, the server messages and the emails can be translated.

Working on a mastodon python script using mastodon.py today. It's going to emulate what I think channel.org was doing - for each followed account, check every 10 minutes or so and boost any public posts.
Also excluding replies and unlisted posts.
I'll also re-evaluate the account's discovery settings and look for common nobot, etc. tags in pinned posts and profile bios before boosting (at least once per run anyway).
