@janvlug
there is also recently built and more advanced peertube search engine:
https://peerseek.video/
It resembles unified youtube experience.
Build by admins of one of the largest https://makertube.net/ instance.
An article about the project here: https://polykit.rocks/peerseek-federated-peertube-search/
One can also subscribe to trending videos @peerseek
From article:
"The official SepiaSearch [...] There is no good way to just browse the network: no front page of fresh, interesting videos, no feed that adapts to what you like, no sense of a welcoming place to wander into when you do not have a specific query in mind. [...] So fresh and personalized content stays hard to reach, and a video on a small instance still tends to sit unseen. [...] Peerseek is my attempt at the missing piece: not just a query box, but a fast, privacy-respecting place to browse the federated network"

When you use the Web Clipper to save entire articles, you end up just recreating your read-later list (and the giant backlog of unread articles that come with it) inside Obsidian.
But Obsidian was never meant to be your read-later service. It's a place to develop your ideas.
It’s a workshop, not a library.

yesterday at the gym I saw guy wearing a shirt that said "we HRT you" and I thought well the intended reading of that must be "we heart you" not "we hurt you" and of course "HRT" stands for "hormone replacement therapy" but then he turned around and the back of the shirt said "hudson river trading"

@cwebber It's worth noting that the DPL was using an LLM to generate their emails for some time. I was astonished to find that fact buried in LWN a couple weeks back.
Could guix please hurry up with a LLM policy so i can switch to it? I don't have time for multiple episodes of distro hopping, I have distro hopped 2.1 times so far in 31 years.

RE: https://floss.social/@josch/117507580019985725
Consequences for the recent LLM vote seem to have arrived for Debian... automated slop reviews: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2026/10/msg00263.html
And we see here that at least one Debian developer, @josch, has been lost due to this change.
This is INCREDIBLY sad IMO. If you're an MNT Reform family computer user, @josch is basically a folk hero for making those machines *work*.
I am still feeling vindicated in my Vibe Bobsled blogpost, having seen both what's happening to the Linux Kernel and now to Debian, where we see the dismantling not only of individuals coding, but also communities, as everyone rides the icy chute down the hill https://dustycloud.org/blog/faulty-towers-vibe-sickness-and-the-vibe-bobsled/
